Yes. Freshness is part of how we think about coffee. DHATS roasts in sensible batches so the coffee can reach home brewers while its aroma, sweetness and character are still expressive.

Choose by the way you like to drink coffee. Espresso coffees tend to lean deeper, rounder and more comforting. Drip coffees are usually cleaner and more expressive. Dirty Special is made with milk, cream and layered textures in mind.

Our main focus is whole coffee beans. If a grinding option is available for a particular coffee, it will be shown clearly on the product page.

Keep the beans sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, moisture and strong odours. Once the bag is opened, close it carefully after each use or keep the coffee in a suitable airtight container.

Coffee changes gradually after the bag is opened, so we recommend enjoying it consistently rather than keeping an opened bag for a long time. Aroma and flavour are usually at their best while the coffee still feels fresh and lively.

You can experiment. Our Espresso, Drip and Dirty Special categories are there to show where we think each coffee feels most at home, but coffee is personal. If another recipe tastes good to you, that is part of the fun.
